Tennessee Man Sues Apple For His Porn Addiction

Tennessee – Chris Sevier, a 36-year-old man from Tennessee, got so addicted to porn videos that his wife took his children and left him. Now he has sued Apple, saying the Cupertino, Calif.-based company failed to install any filter in its devices to prevent his affliction.

In a 50-page complaint, Sevier calls Apple a “silent poisoner” responsible for the proliferation of “arousal addiction, sex trafficking, prostitution and countless numbers of destroyed lives.”

Sevier is seeking damages from Apple but said he will drop the lawsuit if Apple agrees to sell devices with a “safe mode.”

Sevier argued, adding that until he got the MacBook, he had never seen porn of any kind or been to a strip club or sex shop.

Model Vanny Rossyane claims having drug and sex sessions with boyfriend at Indonesia's Cipinang jail

INDONESIAN authorities have suspended a prison warden after a model claimed she routinely met her boyfriend, who is on death row, in a private room at the jail to have sex and take drugs.

In the latest scandal to hit the country's notoriously corrupt prison system, Vanny Rossyane, 22, said she had visited drugs kingpin Freddy Budiman three times a week at the Cipinang penitentiary complex in the capital, Jakarta.

Rossyane's account has led to a flurry of salacious media reports and comments on Twitter, some denigrating the couple and others calling for the warden to be sacked.

A spokesman for the correctional facilities department at the justice ministry said the prison warden was being questioned.

The Cipinang penitentiary, where high-profile corruption convicts and wealthy drug dealers are locked up, has been long criticised for giving special favours to those who can pay.

The jail has been caught giving some prisoners large private rooms and allowing them to bring in maids, furniture, air conditioners and televisions.

Porn played on giant screen outside Chinese train station for 10 minutes

A MAINTENANCE worker surprised passers-by near a Chinese railway station when he started watching a banned porn film, not realising his computer was connected to a giant screen, state media said.

The worker, identified only by his surname Yuan, was supposed to repair the screen, on a building near the main railway station in Jilin in northeast China, the Global Times reported.

But when he began playing "The Forbidden Legend: Sex and Chopsticks", hundreds of local residents stopped to watch as well, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

The company which owns the screen called him after about 10 minutes, and he immediately disconnected the computer before throwing the disc out of a window, the Global Times said. 

Police were investigating the incident, Xinhua said.

According to Chinese law, individuals who spread pornographic audiovisual products can be sentenced to up to two years in prison.

Beggar on the Streets of China Astounds By Being Young, Pretty and English-Speaking

The story: a young woman has been found on the streets of Zhengzhou, begging. What’s more, she is all of these things: young, pretty, English-speaking, from an affluent family. The first of these stories about Zhang Jia found her online profile and was shocked at what they saw:

As much as it is clear that the woman in this story is suffering from some kind of mental disorder and has slipped through the social safety net (and its lack thereof), attitudes towards mental illness in Chinese society are still lagging behind in understanding it.

The news report reveals Zhang Jia as having come from a family that was once affluent and had provided Zhang Jia the opportunity to study abroad in Singapore. Furthermore, Mr Wang, a cousin of Zhang Jia, fully disclosed that Zhang Jia’s mother is also suffering from a mental disorder and her whereabouts are unknown, much like her father who is divorced from her.

If this basically explains the conditions that explain why Zhang Jia has a mental disorder, it doesn’t. Because there has to be a reason for mental illness; there’s something or someone to blame. Said secretary Liang of the City of Zhengzhou Help Station:

“Before when she was lucid, [Zhang Jia] had said she worked at a television station in Beijing; the pressure was heavy, and afterwards she was let go from this job when she started suffering from the mental illness. This was likely a big influence [to explain why she has a mental illness now].”

The attention Zhang Jia has received is not that which any other “normal” beggar would receive:

"In order to provide for her safety, the safety patrol provided two personnel members to guard her throughout the night over the course of several days."

The effectiveness of this help seems to be proportional to the support she gets from her family. Secretary Liang said:

“…in a conversation with her father this morning he clearly stated that he doesn’t want anything to do with her. The father stated that she had gotten married at the beginning of this year. When asked about his daughter’s husband’s family, the father said he didn’t know and hung up the phone.”

The fascination towards the mystery and taboo over mental illness continues to amass and swirl.

Man in Turkey wears a CAGE on his head to stop himself having a cigarette

Ibrahim Yücel, from Kütahya in Turkey, has made a cage for his own head. The device makes it impossible for him to put a cigarette in his mouth. Th 42-year-old has been smoking for 26 years and repeatedly tried to quit.

Ibrahim Yücel is so unsure of his own willpower that he entrusts the keys to the bizarre contraption to his family so he is not tempted to release himself.

The Turkish man was inspired by another successful health campaign - the safety helmets worn by motorbike riders.

The world's biggest strip-off

The southeastern Spanish town broke the record previously held by New Zealand, which had been in the number one spot with 506 nude bathers.

With 729 people bathing nude at the same time, the beach at the Spanish town of Vera has claimed the new Guinness world record for collective nude bathing.

Pennsylvania Teen, Saved Abducted 5-Year-Old Girl

Minutes after Temar Boggs heard that 5-year-old Jocelyn Rojas had gone missing, he noticed a suspicious car careening in and out of the side streets of his neighborhood.

The 15-year-old was hanging out with his friends at an apartment in Lancaster, Penn. on Thursday afternoon when he heard the news. So he and another friend, Chris Garcia, took to their bikes to join the search for Rojas, according to Lancaster Online.

Boggs gave chase on his bicycle. He got close enough to the vehicle to see a little girl inside. He made eye contact with the driver, an older white male, who apparently got spooked enough to let Rojas get out of the car.

He escorted her to police, who reunited her with her relatives. The town is hailing him as a hero.

Woman sentenced to life for cutting off her husband's penis

A California woman who was accused of cutting of her husband's penis before tossing it in the garbage disposal has been sentenced to seven years to life in state prison.

Catherine Kieu, 50, was guilty of charges of torture and aggravated mayhem for the July 11, 2011, attack and sentenced to life in jail, but she could be eligible for parole after seven.

She was convicted in April of one count each of torture and aggravated mayhem.

The victim, known only as Glen throughout the trial, was in court for today's sentencing.

Kieu was convicted in April of aggravated mayhem - maliciously depriving a human of a body part.

The victim was hospitalized, but reconstructive surgery was not successful.

Prosecutors argued that Kieu refused to accept her husband's demand for a divorce and carried out the attack as part of a revenge plot. The attack occurred about two months after the husband filed for divorce.

During trial, the 60-year-old victim testified that his penis could not be reattached and that he felt as though he had been murdered.

Deputy District Attorney John Christl told jurors that Kieu, 50, drugged the man's tofu with sleeping pills and screamed 'You deserve it!' before attacking him with a 10-inch kitchen knife.

Kieu was jealous and angry about her husband's plans to divorce her because he was seeing his ex-girlfriend, the prosecution said.

Kieu spiked her husband’s dinner with Ambien, tied him to his bed with nylon ropes and then cut off his penis with a 10-inch kitchen knife, according to prosecutors.

She then threw it in the garbage disposal and turned it on, mutilating the organ, authorities said.
Her husband was treated and released from UC Irvine Medical Center, but doctors were unable to re-attach his penis.

The couple was reportedly going through a divorce at the time, and the defense argued that Kieu was suffering from depression and other mental health issues.

Audio of the incident was captured by a voice-activated recorder Kieu had hidden in the bedroom, Christl said.

'This was a cruel and calculated violation of a person’s body and mind,' the victim, who was not identified, said in an impact statement at the sentencing.

The victim testified he had spent a few days in a hospital and underwent surgery, but 'not reconstructive surgery.'

The operation was 'to make it usable as far as going to the bathroom.'

The defense argued she 'had a break from reality' on the night of the attack.

Kieu apparently had mental health problems caused by a childhood full of molestation and other trauma in war-torn Vietnam and her husband also constantly demanded sex in ways that caused her pain, her defence lawyer said.

Kieu's public defender, Frank Bittar, said before jury deliberations: 'She's a shattered woman who tried to do the best she could'.

The husband said he remembered waking up tied to the bed.

During the trial Mr Christl described the scene: 'When he woke, she told him 'You deserve it' three times, and then slices off his penis with one motion of the knife'.

'She then walks into the kitchen, takes the severed penis, and puts it into the garbage disposal.'

'All of a sudden I felt a very sharp pain,' the husband said. 'I will never have a sex life again.'

Bittar agreed that Kieu had a difficult past, but said no one could condone what the victim went through.

Retired RCMP, Killing His Wife After Losing Sex Bet On Nintendo Wii Game

Keith Wiens, a retired officer in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, faces second-degree murder charges in the August 2011 shooting death of his common-law wife, Lynn Kalmring. In court Thursday, Wiens testified that he shot Kalmring in the face in self-defense after a lost bet over a Nintendo Wii game escalated into a violent domestic dispute.

According to the Penticton Western News, Wiens told the court that he and Kalmring usually made sexual wagers over video games. On the night of the shooting, Wiens said he lost and came to the bedroom to find sex toys on his pillow. Tired, Wiens brushed the toys aside and went to bed, but Kalmring got upset and accused him of not finding her attractive, he said in court.

Wiens also said that he woke up to his wife hitting him, so he told her to pack her bags and leave. He said that he retrieved a handgun from his bedside table after Kalmring left the room because he was afraid of her.

‘Model prisoner’ Aaron Hernandez’s life in prison: ‘Tuesdays with Morrie,’ push-ups and Tang

Despite all of the shocking stories that have come out about former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez over the past month, Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson said Hernandez has been a model prisoner.

In an extensive story by the Boston Globe outlining Hernandez's life in prison as he awaits his murder trial, Hodgson said Hernandez has been "nothing but perfect" since arriving at the jail.

Hernandez has mostly kept to himself, the story said, which is mostly because he is being held away from the general prison population. Only one person from his unit can go out at a time for the one allowed exercise hour each day, so he isn't mingling with other prisoners. The story said Hernandez hasn't complained, has eaten all of his meals and made only one special request, for more protein in his diet. That request was denied.

The story had many details of Hernandez's day-to-day life in jail.

He gets up at 6 a.m. when breakfast is brought to his small cell. He gets one egg, a portion of grits, a muffin square and either milk or Tang.

He is allowed to have two books at a time or write letters during the day. Hodgson said Hernandez likes to read, and he sent down a copy of "Tuesdays with Morrie" for Hernandez.

Hernandez gets to be out of his cell three times a day, for an hour each time. He can make collect calls during those times, and gets to go outside just once. The Globe said he does sit-ups, knee bends, and push-ups in his cell during the day.

Hodgson dismissed the ACLU's claim that Hernandez is being mistreated by being kept in "solitary confinement," saying that Hernandez is being held in a single cell for his safety.

One of the other details in the story is that Hernandez is wearing the uniform of pretrial prisoners, which is dark green. The story said they look like New York Jets colors.

Chinese couple die while having Sex

A couple fell to their deaths after a window they were having sex against gave way in China.

The pair are said to have fallen from the window of an apartment block in the Chinese city of Wuhan when the window they were leaning against shattered.

Witnesses told Chinese media that the couple clung to each other as they fell to the pavement outside.

According to The Sun, a source in China said: 'With the two of them holding each other tight, they fell out of the building.'
Shocking pictures emerged on a local website showing the couple being covered in sheets by police.

Blood is spattered on the pavement nearby and detectives are seen examining the scene.
The couple's bodies were pictured close to a bicycle which was laying on the ground, but there were no reports that anyone on the ground was injured in the incident.
Reports suggest that the windows in the apartment block were of poor quality.

It is thought that the man and woman may have been trying to keep cool by the window when the incident happened.

It is unclear how high up the pair were when they fell.

Decades after mysteriously disappearing, 'The Iceman Cometh' again

The infamous 'Minnesota Iceman' will be exhibited at Museum of the Weird in Austin, Texas, starting next week after touring at fairgrounds and malls across the country in the late 60s and early 70s.

The museum's owner, Steve Busti, said Wednesday that the frozen, 'Neanderthal or Bigfoot-like monster' will be on display beginning July 3.

The iceman, 6-feet-tall, was billed as 'The Siberskoye Creature' or 'The Creature of Ice' beginning in 1968. The hairy creature was displayed in a solid block of ice inside a refrigerated coffin.

A man named Frank Hansen exhibited the iceman and claimed to have been behind its discovery, according to the book 'Bigfoot Exposed: An Anthropologist Examines America's Enduring Legend'.

Two cryptozoologists, Ivan Sanderson and Bernard Heuvelmans, examined the body during their search for evidence of Bigfoot the same year the iceman became a carnival exhibit.
The pair believed the creature to be a real, unknown species, with Sanderson even remarking he could smell a decomposing corpse through cracks in the icy tomb.

After the two cryptozoologists examined the creature, Sanderson convinced someone at the Smithsonian Institution to launch an official investigation. Unfortunately, Hansen reportedly switched the 'real' body with a latex dummy before an investigation took place.

At first, Hansen suggested he found the iceman in Siberia, but he confessed he shot the creature in Minnesota woods before putting it on ice. As a result of these new claims, the FBI almost became involved, thinking Hansen had been exhibiting a murder victim.

When the Smithsonian assessed the Iceman--after Hansen said he switched it with a dummy--the museum stated it was 'satisfied that the creature is simply a carnival exhibit made of latex rubber and hair...the "original" model and the present so-called "substitute" are one and the same', according to 'Bigfoot Exposed'.
Investigators with the Smithsonian also discovered a company on the West Coast made Hasen an iceman in 1967, but whether or not it was just a replica of the 'real' iceman. The company Hansen commissioned to make the dummy never saw an original.

After touring through the early 70s, the creature and its eccentric owner remained out of the public eye until 10 years ago, The Huffington Post reported.
After investigating its whereabouts for two years, Busti tracked down Hansen's family and bought the frozen beast or rubber impersonation, depending on who's talking.

China seizes 20 tonnes of out-of-date meat including chicken feet 46 YEARS past sell-by-date

A police raid of an illegal food store in southern China has exposed tonnes of rancid, decades-old chicken feet being 'processed' to be sold to unassuming customers.

The decaying feet, some dating back to 1967, were being 'cleaned up', plumped up and whitened at the 'foul-smelling' plant using bleach and other chemicals, before being prepared for sale.

Police, who raided the criminal operation in May, said they also found beef tripe, cartilage and other out-of-date animal organs - all of which had been smuggled across the border from neighbouring Vietnam. In total 20 tonnes of illegal meat was seized.

According to local media, the gang, based in Nanning, the capital city of south China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, was able to make up to 16,000 yuan (£1,750) profit on every tonne of the putrid meat, by injecting it with chemicals, increasing its weight by 50 per cent.

Among the seized meats over the last 12 months, police have found hundreds of bears' paws - another bizarre food sought after by Chinese chefs.

Teenage boy abused 4-yr-old sister after watching porn

A teenage boy who sexually abused his little sister while babysitting had been watching online porn, a court has heard.

The 17-year-old repeatedly seriously abused the four-year-old child until the victim eventually told their mother what he had been doing.

She reported her son to the police and when interviewed the boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, admitted his behaviour had been 'disgusting and loathsome'.

Sentencing the youth, who is now 18, to three and a half years detention Judge Mark Brown described him as an intelligent young man who had known what he was doing was wrong.

He said that the youth had treated her in a 'most appalling and dreadful fashion' because he had been sexually aroused.

The defendant had pleaded guilty to attempted rape and five offences of sexual assault. He said that the boy, who had been bullied at school, largely because of his weight, was socially isolated.
Following the death of his father he had become even less outgoing and when he was 16 was convicted of indecent exposure. SOURCE

Unseen epidemic: Beauty lotions and other household products blamed for skin allergy surge

Everyday beauty and cleaning products are being blamed for an epidemic of skin allergies.

Preservatives used in Nivea skin lotion, some L’Oreal creams and Wet Ones cleaning wipes are being linked to an outbreak of acute allergic contact dermatitis, mostly in women over 40.

The ingredients – MI and MCI – are also found in mascara, shower gels and washing up liquids.

Dermatologists say there has been a surge in allergic reactions –including facial swelling, itching, hives and redness – caused by exposure to the preservatives.

Dr John McFadden, consultant dermatologist at St Thomas’ Hospital, London, is urging the cosmetics industry to take action.

A team at the Leeds Centre for Dermatology also discovered a sharp rise of 6.2 per cent in sensitivity in contact allergy to the ingredients over the past three years.

They suspect the legal limit of 0.01 per cent of MI in personal care products is too high.
Specialists presenting research to the British Association of Dermatologists’ conference in Liverpool this week say the levels should be cut further, or eliminated.

In the US, the American Contact Dermatitis Society named MI ‘contact allergen of the year’ for 2013 to draw attention to its potential for triggering reactions.
