Teen Hospitalized After Girl Fight via Facebook Threat

Eyes bruised and swollen shut, bruises all over her body – all of it the result of a brutal fight involving 19-year-old Viola Mesa against a 17-year-old girl

It was all caught on tape. Several bystanders are heard chanting-on the Raymondville teens, until someone finally steps in to pry the girls off each other.

Mesa was repeatedly punched in the face and even blacked-out for several seconds.

While Mesa admits she agreed to fight the 17-year-old, she claims it was because she's tired of the bullying and threats she's gotten online and was only standing up for herself.

Raymondville Police Sgt. Andres Maldonado said cyber bullying cases have become all too common.

In this case, since both teens agreed to and willingly fought, both girls could be facing charges regardless who initiated the taunting.

Mesa claims she's been bullied all her life and although this time things went too far, she did learn a valuable lesson.

Vicki Griffiths had planned to breastfeed little Eva Faith but changed her mind after seeing the newborn’s teeth.

Eva astounded nurses and midwives as well as her family when she was born weighing 7lbs 4oz at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. Initially, nobody realised and it was only when Mrs Griffiths went to have a bath after giving birth that her husband Steven spotted the teeth in his daughter’s lower jaw.

Mr and Mrs Griffiths now worry that Eva will soon start sprouting more teeth before she is old enough to have Calpol or other children’s medicine. The mother-of-three said: ‘I kept asking the midwives and nurses what I could give Eva if she was in pain, but nobody was able to answer me.

Little Eva Faith was born on September 8 and is now at home with her parents and older sisters Elizabeth, seven, and Emily, five, in Redcar, Cleveland.

At first Mrs Griffiths thought the teeth would have to be removed in case Eva were to choke on them, but she was checked over by a paediatrician who said they were stable enough not to present a problem.

Eva is now thriving on bottled milk and delighting all that meet her with her unusual feature.
Mrs Griffiths added: ‘Eva often has her mouth open, especially after she has woken up.

Jonathan Wyllie, consultant neonatologist at James Cook, said: ‘It probably happens about three times every two years here and we deliver 4,000 babies a year. It’s every 2,000 to 3,000 births.

‘Babies are born with one or two teeth and it’s usually in the lower gum.’

A WOMAN in eastern China has murdered her husband and boiled his corpse to cover her tracks after he abused her and her daughter, a report says.

The woman drugged the man, her second husband, and tortured him for three days in June by withholding food and water and beating him, causing his death, said a report on government-backed news portal Anhui News on Saturday.

She then dismembered the corpse with a saw and boiled the parts in a pressure cooker to hide the evidence, the report said. It did not detail how she disposed of the cooked flesh afterwards.

The psychological burden of the crime proved too much for her to bear, causing her to lose 6.3 kilograms and turn herself into police, according to the report.

A police officer in Anhui province's Lu'an City, where the incident occurred, confirmed the case to AFP but declined to give further details.

Woman 'Hid Drugs In Fake Pregnancy Belly'

A Toronto woman has been arrested in Colombia after police say she feigned pregnancy to carry drugs.

Col. Esteban Arias says a 28-year-old woman was stopped while trying to board an Air Canada flight in Bogota after an inspector noted that her belly was unusually cold and hard.

Arias says police discovered a false belly made of latex taped to her body and they found two kilograms of cocaine.

Police say the woman is a social worker and arrived in Colombia on Aug. 6.

The Canadian Embassy in Bogota did not respond to requests for details.

Colombian officials say 874 foreigners are held in the country's lockups, most on drug charges.

An eight month old baby is recovering in hospital after a monkey tore off one of his testicles before running away and eating it.

The mother was changing her son's nappy when the animal attacked, ripping off the testicle before dropping it onto the ground.

An elderly man then reportedly picked up the severed appendage but the monkey snatched it from his hand before scampering away and eating it.

The boy's injury is not life-threatening, Chinese media reports.

Monkey numbers at the zoo are said to have rocketed from around 70 to 500 in the past few years.

The animals are fed three times a day by their keepers.

However, members of the public are understood to like to feed the monkeys too - despite the presence of signs warning against this.

The reports also claim that monthly incidents involving the monkeys at Guiyang, of varying degrees of severity, are now running in the hundreds.
